The 2021 Washington Marine Debris Action Plan (Action Plan) was created by a voluntary, collaborative effort of 50 organizations throughout Washington State, including the Puget Sound, the Northwest Straits, Washington’s Pacific Coast, the Columbia River estuary, and inland sources. The Action Plan encompasses work that will be undertaken in the next two years (2021-2022) and establishes a comprehensive framework for strategic action to help reduce the impacts of marine debris on Washington State and its coasts, people, and wildlife.
